This was written about Zoe in a moment when both of us were feeling a bit alone and afraid. At the time it bought us closer together and although I was sad when I wrote it, it holds a lot of happy memories.

There you were on the other end of the phone,
So close to my heart, yet so far from home,
The sadness in your voice, hurt me so much,
How I wished I could feel, your sweet soft touch,
My teary eyes wishing, that they could see you,
I know in your heart somewhere, you like me too,
At the end of the day, when all’s said and done,
I just can’t deny it, you’re my number one.

I guess…

I’m just a guy, thinking about a wonderful girl,
Asking her to give him, just one chance.
