I wrote this poem about a certain special someone (Moo), about 10 days or so ago. It represents the part of me that wants to iron over the old mistakes I made with her and start over again with a clean slate.
I cried the other night,
I don’t even know why,
Sitting alone at the window,
Watching the world pass by.
I’ve not been myself for ages,
Since I broke up with her,
I’ve felt so useless,
My life’s been a blur.
I’ve thought some things through,
Realised where I went wrong,
I asked for some answers,
Then you came along.
I’ve had many feelings,
That I didn’t understand,
I’ve had dreams of you,
And of holding your hand.
You’re an amazing girl,
Funny, cute and sweet,
You’re the kind of person,
I’d always hoped to meet.
Want to get to know you,
Want to give us a chance,
Want to go to the beach,
Hold you close, have a dance.
So let this be sorry,
Let it be a new start,
Here’s to knowing you,
Here’s to following my heart.
