Rain Rain Rain

Filed under: General — Matt @ 12:08 pm

Urgh, why do we have a few weeks of nice sunshine and then 10 days of rain. Whilst I don’t mind rain and actually often enjoy walks in it…it’s incredibly depressing to look out of the window and see dreary grey skies and rain splattering against the window!

Sort it out!

  1. I find the trick is to get as much pleasure from the nice days as you get displeasure from the rainy ones. then if you have more nice than rainy, you’ll be at a net plus! if you find you have fewer nice days than rainy ones, you may have to alter your pleasure coefficient, but that’s left as an exercise for the reader. :)

  2. Hi Matty!

I’m back under a new moniker ….. so funny to read your post complaining about rain back in May. What did you do? Is it all your fault? Someone heard you complaining and thought right, I’ll show you what rain means and it hasn’t stopped since and already we are in July.

I dunno - way back I thought I heard it was going to be a great summer this year. Good for some of the reservoirs I hope.

  3. Sorry for making it rain :( It has been a horrible summer so far, but at least we have had a week or two of reasonable(ish) weather recently. I suppose that can slightly make up for things!

Oh and Uisce, we have more rainy days than good days here, so I fear I will always have negative equity with the weather!!
